SPLICE team members participated in the 2026 Workshop on Security and Privacy in Standardized IoT (SDIoTSec) in a number of ways:
- SPLICE Tufts PI Susan Landau gave the keynote talk: “How to Talk so Policymakers Will Listen.” A recording of the presentation will be shared.
- SPLICE Dartmouth co-PI Tim Pierson was a Program Committee member.
- SPLICE CCNY PI Tushar Jois and SPLICE Tufts PI Susan Landau had a publication: Improving Adoption of Home IoT Beyond Single-Family Homes: Delineating Required Characteristics
- SPLICE graduate student Muhammad Hassan (UIUC), SPLICE UIUC PI Carl Gunter, PI Susan Landau, and Professor Masooda Bashir had a publication: Insights from GitHub Community on the Matter Standard: Developer Perspectives and Challenges. Their paper received the Best Paper award at SDIoTSec!
- SPLICE graduate student Ravindra Mangar (Dartmouth), SPLICE PostDoc Jared Chandler (Dartmouth), SPLICE Dartmouth PI Tim Pierson, and SPLICE Dartmouth PI David Kotz had a publication: Enabling Research Extensions in Matter via Custom Clusters. Their paper received the Distinguished Paper award at SDIoTSec!
- Song Liao, Jingwen Yan, Yichen Liu, SPLICE Dartmouth PI David Kotz, Luyi Xing, and Long Cheng had a publication: Position Paper: Towards Ubiquitous and Automated User Privacy Configuration
